I just wanted to say my order arrived Wednesday afternoon and everything is brilliant. There was still dry ice left, too!
I have one packet of the back bacon in the 'fridge for tomorrow's breakfast, and I will be making it the way you suggested. I've grilled thick cut bacon before, but have never wrapped it in aluminum foil first.
From the way my husband's eyes lit up when I mentioned I'd also bought a black pud, I doubt I will have any difficulty getting him to stop at the shop on our way back to MI from NYC next spring. I've already printed off directions. In the meantime, online ordering will suffice.

Took me back to the days of UK television - ITV - and the commercial of the little boy watching his Mother go shopping, and the plaintiff cry 'Don't forget the fruit gums Mum'.

Of course that was in the days when the Mother went out and presumably left small child to his / her own devices.
Certainly wouldn't happen now. Letters to the Editor, Social Services, putting child in danger et al. Ah how things have changed. When I was a small boy, at the weekends, my chums and I would vanish for the day to where ever the fit took us. The parting call from Mum,
'Don't be late back for tea.' Ah happy days. Sent a brief note to Julia Gillard but don't expect to get a reply, but if I do I will let you know.
Winter here at the moment and temps down to 5c last night and this morning wall to wall blue sky and 22c. Still very chilly in the shade.

I am and have been a member of the Commonwealth Club since 1991, with a little break in the late 90's when not playing darts. I am down there once a week, usually on Friday for darts and a few pints. I put a stack of your magnets on the bar and will print out a flyer to take tomorrow night and post it on the bulletin board, anything to support British business, even Welsh business!!! I will be sure not to mention your heritage as a lot of the Rugby team are English and not too keen on the Welsh right now! Bloody big fishes are whales! Sweet chariot!

Home from home.: Going to Wise Choice is definitely worth our drive from Columbus. I go every couple of months to stock up on mustard, pickle, bangers, cockles, and curry sauces. Harry's store has an impressive and extensive range of British produce. Although some of the stuff seems a little expensive, at least I don't have to worry too much about spending a load of money. The canned goods aren't bad value for money though, and his frozen stuff is comparable to prices back home. If you go, you HAVE to buy some white pudding! No Sunday breakfast is complete without it! Delicious!

I just today received my package with the Balti and Korma sauces and wanted to send across a huge thanks! The chocolate was a great surprise and I was even more surprised by the free copy of the Union Jack. I am also VERY glad i have another of your Fridge magnets, I lost the previous one when I moved house and I'm very glad to have it back, that'll make getting my Sizzle N Stir sauces easier again! (Please don't tell me you intend to stop stocking them! lol).

I have one quick query for you. If you stock them, I apologise as I have missed them, but do you have any, or can you point me, in the right direction of some mini sausage rolls? Just wanted to say congratulations on 10 years. I first came in about 7 years ago looking for Christmas crackers. I had visited my company's office in High Wycombe and was introduced to them. I brought some back for my children who immediately fell in love with them. My kids, now older of course, do not think it is Christmas without them. They have become a cherished family tradition thanks to WISE Choice.
Last year I stopped by looking for beer mugs and while you did not have them, Harry went online to show an American what a 'proper' beer mug looked like and where to get them. You do not find service like that much anymore.
I stop in now from time to time to get treats and special gifts for family and friends.

I have ordered before from other places (that don’t stock Fox’s Glacier Fruits) without incident, however upon receipt of my order placed with you, I was not only surprised to find an actual print out receipt of my credit card, but also a very nice letter from you giving me numbers to call with any questions AND a bar of chocolate!

I can’t tell you how nice it was to receive this box of candy I ordered and feel the personal touch of WISE CHOICE SWEETS. I really mean that. It was very nice and personal.

Because of this I will think nothing of it to return to your site to order all my British goods you can’t find in Seattle (or anywhere else in the US) I was born in England (Hitchin) and my father’s family still resides there however it is very difficult to have someone ship these gods to me or to travel 5000+ miles just to pick some up!! I received my first order today from your lovely web site, and I am simply delighted with it! The service was excellent.....so quick! I really appreciate the emails you sent to me keeping me up to date with the status of my purchase. I excitedly opened my box today, and found some wonderful surprises. Right on top of the contents was an envelope with my name on it, and my eyes opened wide and I thought, "WOW!" Seldom do you find a handwritten envelope with your name and "thank you" on it when ordering from the web. And if that wasn't enough.........I spotted a Wise Choice mug snuggled down among the packaged items!! While unpacking the order (and by the way, my Brown Betty teapot was so bundled up with bubble wrap, I didn't believe I would ever get it open - which is a compliment to your good packing protection)..my eyes grew even wider.....I spotted a Cadbury candy bar!!!! Wow......can it get any better than this? I felt like a little girl with the best Christmas box on earth! And, yes, it is all mine, for I ordered the teapot, tea cozies and tea towel for myself. Thank you for the attention that you gave to my recent order! My husband
was so happy to receive food items from "home" for his birthday. I was very
pleased to find your website since you are so close to home. I truly
enjoyed my phone communication with Daphne and Harry. It was more like
phoning friends and talking rather than the typical "press 1 for this, press
2 for this..." message usually received these days for any USA telephone
orders!

I assured my husband that I had placed an order for his Chicken Crisps that
he loves so much! I explained that they may not arrive until the end of
August due to your current order being already spoken for. He can't wait to
find this box on our doorstep! I'll have to be sure I retrieve the box so I
know they got here before I find empty bags .

We're hoping the two cans of Fiery Idris dated September, 2005 will be ok
when opened? Two are for December, 2006 so he'll compare when he drinks

Though I've been in your shoppe several times a year since it first opened and have made visiting & shopping a regular holdiay event, I've never looked at your web site. WOW !!! It's awesome. I just read the 'About Us' section. I remember your lovely wife, Sheila - what a joy - I looked forward to chatting with you both as much as shopping in your store. I love coming in for the sharing and catching up on all that's new as much as for the goodies only you sell.
Whenever I bring a first-timer with me I tell them 'you are about to enter a REAL family shoppe' and they are wow'ed by the hugs and love you have for everyone.

When I was in a few weeks ago with my fiance, Jim, to buy our holiday eats, I tried to explain to him what a Brown Betty is....I found it on the web site and emailed it to him as a HINT.
The Christmas Puddy Log was delicious - perfectly steamed as you suggested. It was the last goodie we ate on Nov 28 (the day we had our Christmas) as he left early on the 29th headed back for Iraq. He's safe. We're so blessed that we have good email and phone contact on a regular basis. We're very blessed by God in that; it's so much more than so many have.

The last couple of years I have ordered from G - in Texas. They are very slow. Sometimes it takes them 3 weeks just to get the package shipped - then I have to wait up to a week for delivery.
